Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) deputy secretary-general and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary-general Abdulrahman Askar received a cable of thanks from Al Ahli Club chairman Khalid Kanoo for his support to the volleyball team at the 35th Arab Clubs Championship in Bahrain.
Kanoo said the significant support of Askar to the club in last month’s event played a major part in Al Ahli winning the tournament for the second consecutive time.
BOC secretary-general expressed appreciation to Al Ahli Club and to all its affiliates for the outstanding achievement marked at this edition of the top regional volleyball competition as well as their efforts in different domestic competitions.
Askar vowed to continue his support to this promising team while representing Bahrain at regional, continental and international tournaments, and wished the club progress and success in future challenges.
