El Tayyeb confers with Farmaajo to combat extremism

Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb received on Monday visiting Head of the Muslims Elders Council and Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting took up a number of issues of mutual interest topped by combating terror and extremism and spreading the values of citizenship and tolerance along with achieving stability in Somalia.
The meeting also tackled Azhar role in spreading the right and moderate teachings of Islam and means to stand against extremist thinking.
The get-together discussed aspects of cooperation between Azhar and Somalia in the scientific, religious and cultural fields.
