Meeting between Cairo and Riyadh, which are considered main pillars of stability in the region, will contribute to accelerating Arab capabilities to confront terrorism, said former assistant foreign minister Mohamed Hegazy.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud's visit to Egypt, scheduled on Thursday, will contribute to restoring the Arab regional system for its proceedings and ability in resolving region's disputes, he added.
In statements to MENA on Wednesday, Hegazy said that Egypt and Saudi Arabia are two main countries in the region, adding that the meeting between the two countries will facilitate finding solutions and formulating regional ties based on equality.
The Saudi king's visit to Egypt is due to the importance of supporting the North African country during this phase, he added.
He also pointed out to the most important agreements, which were signed by the five coordination meetings that were held in Cairo and Riyadh.
He further referred to an important and strategic agreement to provide the Egyptian petroleum sector with its needs within the upcoming five years.
