Houthi militias, known also as Ansar Allah, dispersed a protest against them in Bayda governorate by force, killing at least one protester and injuring several others including two in critical condition.
Houthis fired at the protesters, eyewitnesses said.
Thousands of Bayda residents protested against the Houthi coup and declared their support to Yemeni president Abd Rbu Mansour.
A bomb went off Wednesday at a Houthi gathering and that was followed by clashes between the Houthis and the attackers.
