Arabic library opened at UAE consulate in Barcelona

In line with President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's initiative to mark 2016 as a year for reading, the UAE General Consulate in Barcelona today launched an Arabic mini-library at the Consulate building.
UAE Consul General in Barcelona Rashid Al Owais delivered a speech about the country's efforts to instil the values of knowledge, enlightenment and culture among the citizens.
He said the library will contribute in promoting culture and providing knowledge sources to the Emiratis in Barcelona.
The UAE General Consulate's library is the first of its kind in the Spanish region of Catalonia.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the military and health offices and a number of citizens.
