Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mohamed Edris on Monday met with a number of African ambassadors accredited in Cairo.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said that those meetings aim to discuss a strategy to strengthen bilateral relations and work to take concrete steps according to specific priorities consistent with the needs of African countries, common interest and mutual benefit.
Assistant Foreign Minister for Multilateral Affairs and International Security Ambassador Hisham Badr took part in the meetings.
The meetings also dealt with cooperation at the multilateral level and the exchange of support at international forums, especially support of Egypt's nomination for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council.
