Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Monday received at Ain Tineh residence Information Minister, Melhem Riachi, with whom he reviewed the overall situation and media affairs.
On emerging, Minister Riachi said they had lengthy discussion over what is happening on the borders, the role of the army and the importance of this role for the future and the sovereignty of the country.
Riachi also disclosed that talks dwelt on the forthcoming projects of the Ministry of Information, as well as those related to press in the private sector in terms of improvement and advancement.
He noted that Speaker Berri was anxiously awaiting these projects to take a final decision on them as soon as possible.
On another level, Berri met with Jordanian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nabil Massarweh, with talks reportedly touching on most recent developments
