House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Friday received at his Ain Tineh residence MP Boutros Harb, with whom he discussed the current situation.
On emerging, MP Harb said that the visit was a chance to deliberate over the current situation in the country, and best means to extricate from the current crisis.
Harb underlined the dire need for cementing national unity, which can be realized through respecting our charter, Constitution and the Taef Accord.
The Lawmaker also pointed out that all sides in the country are keen on maintaining the country's political, economic and security stability.
On the other hand, Speaker Berri met with Information Minister, Melhem Riachi, with whom he discussed the current situation.
Berri received a congratulatory cable from Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on Independence Day, wishing Lebanon further stability and wellbeing.
President Abbas also expressed appreciated of Lebanon's unyielding supportive positions towards the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause
