Arab League Chief Nabil el Araby has slammed remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the Golan Heights.
The remarks are a blatant violation of the principles of the international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, said a statement on Monday.
Arabi reiterated the Arab stance rejecting all measures taken by Israeli authorities, calling on the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and exercise pressure on Israel to comply with all relevant international resolutions.
Netanyahu has vowed the Golan Heights will forever stay in Israel's hands, at the country's first cabinet meeting held in the occupied territory.
Netanyahu said at the start of the cabinet meeting: "I chose to have this festive cabinet meeting on the Golan Heights to send a clear message: The Golan Heights will forever remain in Israeli hands.
