
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned Wednesday's attack in London near the British parliament building. He described it as a heinous criminal act that runs counter to all values and principles of humanity and morality.
In a statement Thursday, the Arab League Chief's spokesmen Mahmoud Afifi said this attack comes to draw attention again to the extent to which terrorism has become a threat to the security and stability of societies in various regions of the world.
He added that this calls for maximizing the unity of international efforts to combat this abhorrent phenomenon within a framework of addressing all the various elements associated with it.
