Manama - Arab Today

UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdul Ridha Abdulla Khouri, has lauded the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to the United Arab Emirates, stressing that the outcomes of the visit will reflect positively on the fraternal and prosperous relations between the two countries and enhance the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the ambassador highlighted the outstanding relations between the two countries and the depth of their joint action, noting that the talks held between HRH the Crown Prince and UAE officials focused on the deep-rooted bilateral relations, as well as the latest regional developments, especially those related to the GCC countries' security and stability.
He said that the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his talks with HRH Crown Prince, had emphasised that the two countries shared common destiny.
"The security of the GCC countries is indivisible, and the security of the UAE is the security and stability of brotherly Bahrain and all external plots targeting Bahrain's government and people will fail," the ambassador said, quoting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince.
He also expressed delight over HRH Crown Prince's visit to the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's weekly Majlis, noting that the kind gesture has been widely appreciated as Majlises are integral in GCC countries' traditions, being social and cultural forums.
Concluding his statement, the ambassador asserted that the UAE-Bahraini relations are progressing steadily thanks to the sound directives of the two countries' leaderships, noting that communication between the two countries benefit GCC countries and bolster their prosperity despite the challenges the region is currently facing.
