Cairo - Mahmoud Al Rifaei
Lebanese singer Wael Jassar has denied media reports claiming Egyptian authorities prevented him from entering the country this week. “I don’t know who spread this silly rumours,” Jassar told Arabstoday. “I came into Egypt and stayed in Cairo for a week.” Jassar is reportedly in the Egyptian capital to prepare a new release, My Beloved Homeland, with fellow stars Latifa, Mohamed Fouad, Hakim, Hany Shaker and Amal Maher. “This isn’t the first time I’ve had to listen to rumours about me being stopped from entering Egypt. I’ve heard it several times. I don’t know why people keep saying it.” Jassar expressed his sadness media sources continue to distribute “rumours” about his travelling arrangements.
