Rasha Mahdy 'honoured' to work with Adel Imam

Egyptian actress Rasha Mahdy is delighted to be acting alongside ‘king of comedy’ Adel Imam in the TV serial Al-Araf (The Godfather), describing it as one of the most important moments in her career so far. Speaking to Arab Today, the star gushed: "I consider myself lucky this year to be taking part in the Al-Araf series, especially because the lead role in this serial is played by the great Adel Imam. Of course just to stand in front of him in a single scene is an honour for me, and one I hope to repeat in years to come." Rasha added that the series was successful and viewers liked her performance. Al-Araf tells the story of a ‘psychic’ man who is found out to be a fraud, but decides to take advantage of the public respect he has gained. Rasha Mahdy played a journalist in the serial, which was written by Yousif Al Maati and directed by Rami Imam.
