Cairo – Mohamed El-Shenawy

Author Bashir Al-Diek has revealed that Egyptian actor Nour El-Sherif agreed to play the role of Shawqi Khaled, the attorney of Khaled Al-Islambouli, one of President Al-Sadat's assassins. Nour El-Sherif, who starred in the film "El Manassah" (the platform) will "reveal the secrets of the assassination". Al-Diek said he would not accept the patronage of any religious movement for the film which was prevented by Mubarak's regime for 15 years and was accepted by the censor board a few days ago. However, the author denied that the character of Abboud Al-Zumar or any person involved in the assassination were displayed so that the film remained objective, stressing that the script of the film was based on 10 references including Mohammed Hassanein Heikal, Adel Hamouda and the attorney Shawqi Khaled.
