Damascus - Arabstoday

Prominent Syrian George Wassouf’s health condition has witnessed tremendous progress in the recent period leading his doctors to permit him to spend the holidays with his family and friends. The improvement to his health proves that recent rumors of him being transferred to Sweden to presume medical treatment are untrue. Photographs of the singer celebrating Christmas with his family were posted on his official page on the social network Facebook. Pictures featured George with his three sons and wife Shalimar as well as a group of close friends. It was apparent through the pictures that George’s health had seen a positive turn. Two months ago, George had encountered a stroke and fell into a coma. As a result he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at the American University Hospital in Beirut.
