Cairo - Mustafa el-Queyas

Egyptian artist Eman el-Asy has expressed her desire to leave Egypt following anxiety over the current situation in the country. Speaking exclusively to Arab Today, the Egyptian star disclosed that in private talks with her ex-husband, she stated she did not feel secure in the country, adding that she wants to take steps to "find security." Eman el-Asy said: "The situation in Egypt is intolerable. We do not know what will happen in the future,” adding that the state of instability "dominates the situation." The actress also expressed concern for her family stating that a number of thugs attacked her and her daughter on their return to their home in the Egyptian city of Sheikh Zayed. She added that she had submitted a complaint to the police station, but did not "obtain her right as an Egyptian citizen."
