Cairo - Khaled Faraj

Lebanese singer Dolly Shaheen has expressed strong resentment over rumours claiming she attempted suicide recently. Reports of the alleged incident have been circulating since Tuesday around the Arab media. In an interview with Arabstoday the starlet said: “I don't get it, I’ve never been the subject of such rumours before.  I’m used to false statements being made about my work or personal politics, but never something like this.” Shaheen added that the claims are “totally unacceptable.” The musician emphasised that she is in good health and would never resort to “such a crime”, no matter what happens. She asserted: “Right now I’m happier than I’ve ever been. I have a lot going for me.” Shaheen’s new film Tatah recently opened to a great response. “Besides suicide would never be an option for me,” Shaheen added.
