Adel Imam’s grandchildren threatened

Egyptian actor Adel Imam has received a number of text messages on his mobile phone from unknown numbers, threatening to kidnap his grandchildren. Imam and his son Ramy headed to the police station in Kerdasa, Giza, to report the incident, according to Dostour newspaper. Imam was sentenced to three months and a financial penalty of 1000 Egyptian pounds based on charges of insulting Islam, on account of the roles he played in films that were found offensive to the religion, including "Morgan Ahmad Morgan", "Hassan and Morkos", and "Al-Erhabi" (The Terrorist).
