Cairo – Marwa Yehya

The Egyptian star, Abla Kamel, has announced that she will quit the entertainment business permanently. “Escaping”, where she will star alongside Karim Abdel Aziz, will be one of her final pieces of work. Film Producer Ahmed Al Sabaki, who offered Abla another role that she declined, said: “It is not for financial reasons or because she was not impressed by the storyline,” but because she has decided to retire from the entertainment industry. Al Sabaki said that he tried several times to convince Abla to take on the film but without success. Her decision is definitely final, he said. “Escaping,” which was written by Bilal Fadel and directed by Mohamed Ali, will be released in Ramadan 2012.
