Embassies and diplomatic missions of the UAE across the world yesterday celebrated the UAE Flag Day following the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to mark the occasion which coincides with the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's accession to the presidency of the country.
The UAE ambassadors and staff of different UAE missions abroad marked the day with flag hoisting ceremonies at their respective missions.
The UAE ambassadors paid tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and extended congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and to the people of the UAE on the occasion.
They also saluted the achievements made by the UAE under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
