Sanitary Engineering Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Asma Murad said the Ministry has completed the B3 Storm Water Drainage Network Project that will serve nince blocks in the Capital and in the Southern and Northern Governorates.
The project reflects the ministry’s efforts to improve the infrastructure and revamp locations that witness storm water pools, in preparation for the upcoming rainy season.
The project comprises extending 3-km long main connections, constructing 29 inspection chambers, 49 storm water collection points and 11 storm water collection tanks to serve residents of the Northern, Southern and the Capital Governorates.
The project covers Block 809 in Isa Town along Roads 916 & 919, Block 814 along Roads 1418 & 1420 in Isa Town, Block 913 in East Riffa along Roads 1303 & 1355, Block 604 in Sitra along Roads 436 & 454, Block 732 in A’Ali along Road 3247, Block 470 in A’Ali along Road 4034, Block 604 in Quraya along Road 418, Block 609 in Sfala along Road 924 and Block 729 in Jirdab along Road 2955.
The BD 333,809.200 project was awarded to Al Wardi Constructions.
