(BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Minister of Works.
Manama - Arab Today

President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Essam Khalaf. They reviewed joint projects, mainly those which will be implemented by BACA in 2018.

Shaikha Mai hailed the ministry's efforts to carry out projects to boost the cultural infrastructure, stressing that promoting culture requires concerted efforts to enhance Bahrain's status as a regional and international civilisational hub.

Both sides discussed issues pertaining to the cultural field, including mainly the cultural infrastructure projects in Muharraq and the efforts made by BACA to register old Manama on the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
