The Security Sub-Committee of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup has discussed its plan to unify security procedures during a meeting chaired by Brigadier Rashid Suhail Al Ali, Vice-President of the Sub-Committee, as part of the preparations to secure the football event that will take place in the UAE.
The meeting was attended by several officers and recruits in the Ministry of Interior, the General Command of the Abu Dhabi Police, the General Command of the Dubai Police and the General Command of the Sharjah Police.
It was announced on 9th March 2015, that the 17th edition of the Asian Cup will take place in the UAE from 5th January to 1st February 2019. The UAE will be hosting the championship for the second time following the 1996 finals.
