The Fifth Edition of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls, organised for the fifth consecutive year under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities, continues to receive distinguished guests from the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad.


Organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting and as part of Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa initiatives, the league was launched on July 24 and will continue to September 14.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, International Affairs Undersecretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited the venue of the league at Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town, toured the different sections and attended part of the matches held on Wednesday.

H.E Dr. Shaikh Abudlla bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa praised the initiatives of His Highness and the noble goals of embracing the youth of Bahrain and strengthening the social bonds between them.

The Undersecretary valued this noble initiatives of His Highness to include new categories in the futsal league including girls' teams and people with disabilities, adding that it reflects the humanitarian side of His Highness and the caring directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to support humanitarian causes on local and global levels.

He also thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, spearheaded by Minister Hisham Mohammed Al-Jowder, for the efforts paid to support the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
