Al-Bashir Attends Signing of Contract for Housing Project

President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Tuesday noon signed a contract for establishing housing facilities for the Armed Forces’ officers, non-commissioned officers and men.
In a press statement, the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Kamal Abdul-Maarouf, said that the contract which was signed at the General Command between the Ministry of Defence and a group of companies, aims for building 1000 apartments, 1000 houses and other residence facilities.
He expected the housing project to be completed within a period of two years, adding the implementation of the project comes in application of the directive of the President of the Republic for providing a suitable housing environment for the Armed Forces’ officers and non-commissioned officers and men.
