International Coalition, led by the U.S, launched 35 air raids against ISIS strongholds in both Syria and Iraq, during the recent 24 hours, including 13 raids in Iraqi areas, and 22 in Syria.
According to a statement from the International Coalition Central leadership, the raids targeted a number of Iraqi areas in Kirkuk, Mousl, Singar Mountains, and Howeija, while they targeted the Syrian cities of Al Bab, Al Raqqa, and Palmyra.
Representative of Popular Mobilization Forces Ziad Al Tamimy revealed that his forces managed to destroy stores related to the extremist group containing food and explosives. He added that they also managed to explode a car bomb.
The Iraqi security forces launched a military operation against the sites related to ISIS in Diali province on Satueday, as they imposed a curfew on Mousl’s left bank to eliminate the remnants of the extremist group in the liberated areas.
The curfew decision came hour after two suicide attacks that targeted Mousl’s left bank, to be the first attack from the extremist elements on the liberated areas since the success of the Iraqi troops to expel the extremists.
Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee expressed its concern over the attacks witnessed in Mousl, calling for a meeting to discuss the ways to prevent such attacks in the future.
On the other hand, sources revealed that ISIS extremist group executed six young people, while imprisoned other seven against the backdrop of the attack that targeted their patrols leading to the killing of two militants and the injury of four extremist elements.
