Riyadh - Arabstoday

The Riyadh Schools, a group of schools of high standard in the Kingdom, has embarked on a project aimed at heralding an era of educational excellence in the Kingdom. The Schools recently announced an ambitious plan aimed at developing a new education model in collaboration with global consultants of very high standard. The consultant team includes former US Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings, former British Education Minister Lord Andrew Adonis, and Jay Puckett, international educational consultant at Boston Consultant Group. Riyadh Schools will make use of the vast experience and expertise of the consultants. The project involves improvement of the school after a review of performance over the past few years and laying down a comprehensive strategy to cater to the needs of students, teachers, administrators, graduates, parents, board of directors and its various committees. Defense Minister Prince Salman, honorary president of the Riyadh Schools, met with the consultants recently. The experts listened to the prince’s vision on the Schools’ development. “The Riyadh Schools welcomes the eminent experts in education and looks forward to their recommendations for its development,” the prince said during the meeting. The prince added: “The Riyadh Schools is famous as a model education establishment, and we are confident that the coming phase will offer an opportunity to achieve greater excellence with the help of advanced techniques.” Prince Muhammad bin Salman, chairman of the board of directors of the Riyadh Schools, said, “The Riyadh Schools is the main pillar of education for generations of Saudis.” He said the school was proud to offer education of high standard to serve the Kingdom’s developmental goals. “The Schools looks forward to continuously strengthening its potentials, as it is committed to offering quality education,” Prince Muhammad said in his statement.
