Zagazig - MENA

Security forces have entered Zagazig University campus in Sharqia in order to arrest rioters upon the request of the university's president, Ashraf el-Shihi. In a press release on Wednesday, the Interior Ministry said that a number of students, affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood, demolished the glass facade of the university's administration headquarters and sabotaged a number of cars that belong to the university's professors and staff, attacking their student colleagues who rejected their rioting acts. Twelve students were injured during the violence, the statement said. Earlier, hundreds of MB students organized rallies in the university's campus in which they chanted slogans against the army and police as well as the university's leaderships and called for the release of their detained colleagues
