Jordanian Minister of Culture receives UAE Ambassador

Nabih Shuqum, Jordanian Minister of Culture, has received Matar Saif Al-Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Jordan, and reviewed cultural relations between the two countries and means of developing them.

During the meeting, they also discussed mechanisms of exchanging experiences and distinguished competencies, stimulating creative energies and inviting popular teams, poets, artists and intellectuals to participate in festivals, seminars and conferences held in both countries.

The Jordanian Minister stressed the great harmony and cooperation between all cultural, heritage and artistic institutions in the UAE with their counterparts in Jordan. He also expressed his gratitude for the active participation of the UAE at the17th Amman International Book Fair, where the UAE will be the guest of honour amid a large participation in most of the events of the exhibition, which started today and continues until October 14th.

Ambassador Al-Shamsi praised the cultural works carried out by the Ministry of Culture and lauded the generous patronage to UAE cultural and heritage groups, which recently participated in several festivals and events in Jordan.
