Beirut Hosts International Colloquium: Rhythm in Arabic Music

In cooperation with the Arab Academy of Music and the Arab Society of Faculties and Higher Institutes of Music, the International Colloquium: "Rhythm in Arabic Music" kicked off in the Lebanese capital Beirut on Thursday.
The Colloquium highlights the rhythm in Arabic music and addresses its importance, features, development, genres, as well as it its role in the Arab music in the past and present. I also explores the traditional Arab East and West rhythms .
This event, hosted by the Faculty of Music, will be held from July 14 till July 16, 2016, in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Music.
