Chinese shares open lower Wednesday

Beijing - XINHUA
Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.48 percent to open at 3,008.9 points.
The smaller Shenzhen index opened 0.45 percent lower at 10,466.83 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.39 percent to open at 2,137.4 points.
