US stocks ended slightly lower

US stocks ended slightly lower Friday after wavering between small gains and losses, as investors digested the country's nonfarm payrolls report for March.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 6.85 points, or 0.03%, to close at 20,656.10.
The S&P 500 slipped 1.95 points, or 0.08%, to end at 2,355.54.
The Nasdaq composite fell 1.14 points, or 0.02%, to close at 5,877.81.
