Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr discussed on Monday with Project Manager at the World Bank Ashish Khan and his accompanying delegation, procedures to sign the third and final tranche of the three billion dollar loan.

During their meeting, the minister stressed the importance of expediting the procedures for signing the third one billion dollar tranche before the end of the current year to shore up development projects in Egypt.

The WB delegation, during the meeting, commended notable economic reforms carried out by the government, expressing readiness to offer all necessary support to promote the role of the private sector in the socio-economic development process in Egypt. 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Finance Minister for Monetary Policies and Institutional Development Ahmed Kojak, Head of the Competition Protection Authority Mona el Harf and Executive Director of the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Microfinance Development Authority Nevine Gamea, as well as representatives of the petroleum, electricity and trade ministries.
