Sweden's prime minister calls March 22 snap election

Sweden's left-leaning Prime Minister Stefan Loefven, in power for just two months, called snap elections for March 22 on Wednesday after a far-right party defeated his budget.
The announcement followed failure by the ruling coalition to push through its budget when the far-right Sweden Democrats refused to give their backing, citing opposition to the government's pro-immigration policies.
