Hollande: French Central African Republic force to rise to 1600

The number of French troops in the troubled Central African Republic will rise to 1,600 by Saturday evening, President Francois Hollande said. Hollande also revealed that the UN-mandated force will seek to disarmed the militias and other armed groups blamed for a spiral of sectarian violence that has left hundreds dead in recent days.
