Azhar to activate communications with Muslims worldwide

Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayyeb said Azhar is adamant to activate communications with Muslims worldwide, especially in Africa, to rectify erroneous concepts and disseminate the upright teachings of Islam.
During a meeting with heavyweight scholars in Nigeria on his first leg of ِan African tour, Tayyeb said Al Azhar works on spreading the culture of peace, coexistence and accepting the Other.
Meanwhile, Nigeria's Grand Mufti Ibrahim Saleh al Hussaini hailed the historic visit of el Tayyeb.
Tayyeb arrived in Abuja on Monday on a three-day visit.
