Uzbekistan profuse in praise for the UAE squad

While congratulatory messages have been flowing in lauding the UAE's Olympic team's first entry at an Olympic Games, one of the journalists from Uzbekistan has been profuse in praise for the squad. "I sincerely congratulate you and your soccer community with access to the Olympic Games in 2012. Your team won with dignity," said Norbek Niyazov, a top media official from Uzteleradio, Uzbekistan's national television and radio company, wrote in Gulf News. Niyazov, who covered FC Bundyokor's Asian Champions League fixture against Al Shabab a few years ago, was full of praise for the young UAE side that beat his national team 3-2 on Wednesday. "Yesterday after the match, at the stadium "Jar" in Tashkent, local fans were applauding your team. This was an honest victory. And on behalf of the Uzbek journalists we wish you good luck in London," he said.
