LOS ANGLES - Arab Today

On Saturday, 2nd April, the $100,000 HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Darley Award Stakes (PA) for purebred Arabian horses will be held at Santa Anita Race Course for the first time on the margins of Darley Awards 2016 as part of the HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s 8th edition in 2016.

Eleven riders will compete in the 1600-metre race which is being staged under directives of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU) Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival Darley Awards, which come under the auspices of the Arabian Racing Cup, is clearly recognised as the highest achievement possible for racing Arabians in the US. This event, along with the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Darley Awards, will once again be held at the fabulous Dolby Theater.

The other events and top race fixtures for 2016 include the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup, the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship (IFAHR) race series, and the Wathba Stud Farm Cup race series.
