Qatar Open table tennis tournament underway

With the Participation of over 300 players, Qatar Open Table Tennis Championship, organized by Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) will kick off on Wednesday through Sunday February 24th. The tournament draw took place today and divided the participants into 29 groups for men and 15 group for the women. Six Qatari players will be competing at the championship. The event will consist of four categories: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles. All finals will take place on 24 February. There is also a U-21 category for boys and girls, announced QTTA chairman Khalil Ahmed Al-Mohannadi. The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) will hold their Executive Committee Meeting on 23 February during the tournament, he added. The 5-day tournament, which is sponsored by Qtel, will feature world and Olympic champions.
