Qatar’s Paralympics team has made impressive show of force to claim five medals at Al-Sharjah International Athletics Championship for people with special needs in UAE . Qatar’s Nasser Al-Sahouti won double, the gold medal in the discus throw event and silver medal in javelin event. Qatar’s Salah Al-Adsani won bronze medal in the shot put as his teammate, Hussam Khalf seized the bronze in discuss throw and Khalifa Al-Dosari clinched the bronze in 100 m run event, according to Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) website. The event brought together some 279 athletes (male and female) representing 27 nations including, Qatar, KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, UK, Greece, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Sweden, Turkey, Venezuela, Cameroun and Switzerland.
