Kuwait's annual pearl diving trip begins

The 26th annual pearl diving trip began here Thursday under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The trip, which will continue till August 21st, witnessed the participation of 200 youths from Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
Speaking to KUNA, chairman of the board for Kuwait Sea Sports Club (KSSC) Fahad Al-Fahad said that the pearl diving trip is held annually to remind the youth of the hardships and adventures carried out by the old generations.
He stressed that the trip always provided valuable lessons for the youngsters, instilling the feeling of comradery and cooperation amongst participants.
