Iraq defeats Jordan in Asian Cup

Iraq has today defeated neighbouring Jordan (1-0) in Group D of the Asian Football Cup 2015 in Brisbane. Iraqi midfielder Yaser Kasim scored the only goal of the match in the 77th minute to seal the final victory for his team.
Meanwhile, Japan beat Palestine (4-0) in the second match of the same group, taking a serious option to qualify to the quarterfinals along with Iraq. Iraq will take on Japan on January 16 in Brisbane, before playing Palestine on January 20 in Canberra. Meanwhile, Jordan will take on Palestine and Japan in Melbourne
