Cairo - Arab Today

Egypt Gymnastics Federation has decided to cancel the Arab Gymnastics Championship, which was scheduled to be held in Sharm el Sheikh City Dec 24-28 after the withdrawal of Morocco and Tunisia.
Head of the federation Abdel Hameid Abdel Mohsen said Morocco has apologized as its players are busy studying, while Tunisia apologized over the phone.
He expressed his dismay over the two countries' actions, noting that the two countries reacted just two days before the tournament.
Egypt, Qatar, Morocco and Tunisia were due to participate in the tournament.
Under the international regulations, the championship cannot be held with the participation of only two countries.
