Algeria bids for 2017 Africa Cup

Algeria officially applied for the organization of the 2017 African Cup of Nations after Libya pulled out citing security concerns, the Algerian ministry of sports said.
Algeria seeks to host the 2017 version of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) after its elimination from the 2019 and 2021 versions.
Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Guinea will host the 2019, 2021 and 2023 editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Egypt, Ghana, Ethiopia, Mali and Zimbabwe have declared an interest in hosting the 2017 tournament.
