Paulinho scored the only goal of the match in the 69th minute. The win took Al Arabi's point tally to 25 for the season, sitting in eighth place. While the loss kept Al Wakra's points at 15, second to bottom in the table.
Other games played this week will see leaders Al Lekhwiya play Al Kharatiyat and second-placed Al Sadd face Al Ahli.
