Ahmed Mansoor clinched the Grand Prix title of Nasser bin Hamad Showjumping Championship, held yesterday at the Military Sports Association Field in Al-Raffah.
The event took place under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. It was sponsored by Ahli United Bank.
Mansoor claimed the Grand Prix prize in table ‘A’ for barriers height 120-130cm with the track speed set for 350 meter/minute, riding his horse Edward in a total time of 48.99 seconds. He was followed by Sami Ghazwan who came second riding his horse Fayrooz, finishing the course in a total time of 41.07 seconds with eight faults, while Bassil Al Dossary riding Delmon Air Force came third. Ali Isa was fourth on riding Pascal.
Showjumping Committee Chairman at the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Races Federation (BREEF) Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa honoured the top three winners in the Grand Prix competition, while Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer at Ahli United Bank Sawsan Abulhassan honoured the winners for other competitions.
Fahad Al Khatri won the Level 1 Juniors Category for the barriers height 85-95cm and track speed set for 300 meter/minute, as he completed the course in a total time of 35.14 seconds riding his horse My Baby. Ali Hani Al Yabis was second riding his horse Ajzal finishing the course in a total time of 31.28 seconds with four faults, while Hussain Mohammed Dadallah came third finishing the course in a total time of 31.77 with four faults.
On the other hand, it was Mayoof Al Rumaihi who claimed the Juniors Level 2 category for barriers height 95-105cm with a track speed set at 300 meter/minute. Al Rumaihi completed the course in a total time of 31.99 seconds riding his horse Granis. He was followed by Emmy Kane riding her horse Rio in a total time of 31.06 seconds, while Hussain Mohammed Dadallah was third in a total time of 36.52 seconds riding his horse Delmon Arko.
In the Adults Level 1 category for barriers height 85-95cm with a track speed set for 350 meter/minute, Mohammed Jassim came first riding his horse Al Yabis, finishing the course in a total time of 62.82 seconds. He claimed the second place as well riding a different horse Alaska finishing the course in a total time of 63.48 seconds, while Hamad Fakhrawi was third riding his horse Tenor in a total time of 64.25 seconds.
In the Adults Level 2 category for barriers height 100-120cm with a speed track set for 350 meter/minute, Basil Al Dossary came first riding his horse Delmon Air Force, finishing the course in a total time of 59.20 seconds. He was followed by Salman Faraj riding his horse My Pressor in a total time of 60.27 seconds, while in third was Eyad Ahmed riding his horse Parillo in a total time of 60.90 seconds with four faults.
