The list of 16 teams invited to the race of the fourth edition of the Dubai Tour - scheduled from 31st January to 4th February - has been officially announced.

Ten UCI World Teams, four UCI Professional Continental Teams, one UCI Continental Team and a UAE National Selection team will be at the start of the five-stage professional cycling race organised by the Dubai Sports Council, said organisers of the event to be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.

The Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI, is the world governing body for the sport of cycling recognised by the International Olympic Committee.

Each team at the start of the Dubai Tour will consist of eight riders.

This edition of the event will be the most outstanding as it consists of five stages of a total of 865km through many cities in the UAE's six emirates, said Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council, and head of the higher organising committee of Dubai Tour.

The Dubai Tour is organised by Dubai Sports Council in partnership with RCS Sport and Events JLT.
