Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi Cairo - Akram Ali Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi has claimed that more than 20 million Egyptians are living below the poverty line. Speaking to the nation, he claimed that there had been a significant variation in the income of Egyptian people, adding that he would increase the salaries of Egyptians in line with the state's budget. Morsi said that about 1.9 million employees are benefiting from the 700 EGP ($100) minimum wage, which would be increased to 1200 EGP ($170) in the future. He explained that is the highest minimum wage increase in the last six decades
