Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese inaugurated on Monday the new expansions at the Monastery of St. Demiana in Daqahlia governorate.
"A country with no churches is a lot better than churches with no country," the pontiff said, stressing the importance of coexistence.
The new expansions include a six-storey building over an area of 600 square meters.
