Pope Tawadros II
Cairo - Arab Today

Pope Tawadros of Alexandria stressed on Thursday that a bright future is waiting for Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Many Copts who left Egypt before June 30 Revolution have already started to come back, the Pontiff told Danish Ambassador here Pernille Dahler.

He said the Coptic Orthodox Church has 124 archbishops, including 35 serving outside Egypt.

In Europe alone, 15 Egyptian archbishops are working, he added.

Copts are living in 100 countries and there are Coptic Churches in 60 states worldwide.

The Danish ambassador expressed her country's appreciation for Egypt and the Coptic Church.

She said the number of Copts are remarkably increasing in Denmark.
